Biographical Statement

Geoff Hetherington has been the Archivist and Records Analyst at the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Atlanta since 2018. Born in Atlanta, he has a BA in History from Oglethorpe University and a Master of Heritage Preservation from Georgia State University. He is a Certified Archivist whose career has primarily been in corporate archives, supplemented by a particular interest in local history.

Candidate Statement

As someone who believes wholeheartedly in the value of membership in the Society of Georgia Archivists, I am throwing my hat in the ring for Treasurer. I have benefited greatly from this organization’s programs, resources, and network, and I welcome the opportunity to give back through the stewardship of its finances.
