Promoting archives has become an increasingly important activity for archivists. Not only does it ensure that traditional audiences critical to the success of your organization are aware of the resources available to them, it also expands the potential to introduce new audiences to your holdings and develop relationships with previously underserved communities.

Attendees of Get Outside of Your (Archival) Box! will identify the types of services, products, and activities that fall into "outreach," assess the potential for outreach activities to connect to mission critical goals, and identify ways to connect outreach services to activate new user groups and stay fresh for repeat customers.

Amanda Pellerin is the Access Archivist at the Georgia Institute of Technology, where she promotes the archival holdings by acquiring new material, collection processing, descriptive records, class instruction, and outreach. She supports access through archival advocacy, teaching with primary resources, and oral histories.

Registration ends October 7th.
