Candidate Statement

The opportunity to serve in a leadership position for SGA with the Local Arrangements group would be an honor. After many years of attending the Society of Georgia Archivists Annual Conference both in person and virtual and through participation on many committees, I know there is a range of possibilities for the future of our conferences. It would be my aim to ensure the upcoming conferences will have an accessible and inclusive environment for the Georgia archives community. The conferences have always been one of my favorite ways to connect with other archivists and feel a part of our community. It is a chance to meet new people, all while learning and sharing knowledge from so many backgrounds and stages of experience. I would like to impart my creativity and my own experience to help set the stage and coordinate the needs of our community to give the experiences that I have had back to others. Thank you for your consideration!
