Biographical Statement

William Hardesty has worked at Georgia State University Library Special Collections since 2004. A Certified Archivist, he trained at The University of Texas at Austin and has earned SAA’s Arrangement and Description Certificate. Currently, he is a member of Provenance’s Editorial Board and served previously as a Provenance Associate Editor and on SGA’s Scholarship and Membership committees.

Candidate Statement

SGA both serves and constitutes a professional community, providing leadership and support. Through its work, SGA strengthens and reflects its and the profession’s values, including fostering diversity and promoting lifelong learning. Without responsible financial stewardship, SGA would cease to be sustainable as an organization. I would be honored by the opportunity to assist with that stewardship and to support SGA’s continuing work.
