Did you have a mentor, and what impact did they have on you? 

Yes I have many. They are invaluable in my personal and professional growth.

Why would you make a good mentor?

I am very committed to and interested in supporting new professionals particularly with networking, career advice, and overall support. I have done formal mentor programs in the past, as well as connect with people via other colleagues, email introductions, or meeting at diffferent events. My interest lies in community archives, archival advocacy and social justice, archives of the African Diaspora, and women's collections. I have been chair of SAA's Diversity Committee and co-Chair of the Women's Collections roundtable.

What is the best piece of professional advice you received?

Don't be afraid to reach out and connect with people you want to talk to
