The Georgia Library Association and the Society of Georgia Archivists invite proposals for panels and presentations for the joint Georgia Libraries Conference (GLC) and Society of Georgia Archivists Annual Meeting. It will be held in-person October 2 - 4 , 2024, in Athens, GA. This conference is a place for our members and guests to showcase their professional and scholarly accomplishments with our profession at large.
Our theme this year is "Leading Georgia Forward, Together." As the first joint conference for the Georgia Library Association and the Society of Georgia Archivists, this year's conference is a special opportunity to celebrate and engage with leaders in the library and archive community whose work makes a positive impact across our state.
While the conference will be held in person, it will continue to include a virtual component. This will be comprised of pre-recorded sessions and asynchronous Q&A sessions (see Session Format for more information). Virtual materials will be available October 15-17, 2024.
The proposal deadline is May 31, 2024. We request that participants limit their number of proposals by a single individual to 3. All attendees, including presenters, are required to register for the conference.
Proposal acceptance notifications are expected to be distributed by June 28, 2024.
